As a father loves his children/as a father is willing to sacrifice for them/as a father pours out his love upon them/as a father does anything to protect them/let us never forget what you have done/let us never forget you are the Son/let us never forget you’ve won the battle for us/

As a father is willing to lay down his life/as a father is there for his children/as a dad shows his love and affection/and I thank you Lord for showing me/what is like to have a father/as you show me a glimpse of your power/let me never forget you love me/as a father would/

There are many times/as your children/we run away from you/but you wait for them/with outstretched arms/so many time I have fallen apart/and so many times it is you who put me back together/when I fall on my face/it is by your grace/that I can get back up/and see you/

As a father/teach me to love/the way a father would/and I am asking you/to teach me to care/the same as a father/and teach me to listen/as a father would/and teach me to hurt/as a father would hurt/over his lost child/teach me oh Lord to cry as a father would/I thank you for being my father.
