I realized the mistake I made when I looked for the world to save me
I cannot believe that I gave the world a chance to crush me

I know that you want me to grow in my walk with you

It is really hard to live your word in my life

It hurts me to see your Bible on my shelf
I can’t look at anyone in the eye, without them seeing me cry
It hurts me so much that I may be living for myself
Then I read it again and I see the reason that you died

I wrote this song because I messed up the Africa blogspot. I realized that I did not pray the way I should’ve and I realized how faithful God was.

There are many times when I mess up and the devil tries to overwhelm me
With thoughts of condemnation, worthlessness, and a spirit of fear
Oh but I will hold onto what I know to be the truth
The mistakes in my life I choose to let you take and use them

So many times I worry about the affects my mistakes will have
But each time I fall down and take another step toward seeing beauty
I can see you knew the mistake even I even made it and I know you
Have always had a plan to see your name glorified through my mistakes

Verse 1:
I know that each mistake I make you will comfort me
I admit I hadn’t prayed when I made a mistake and only now I am seeing
That you are faithful even when I fall down and even when I am dying on the ground
I don’t know where I would be if you didn’t rescue from my condemnation and took it all

The biggest mistake I made has been not trusting you with my worries
Not praying when I knew you would come to save me
As I fell down on my face before you, you showed me what it means to be lifted up
Out of the pit of despair and I really truly knew that care so I give you everything.
