Searching for your heart

Pre Chorus:
Looking around can I really catch a glimpse of your heart for me
Listening for a sound that’s beating that seems so tender, loving and caring
Each time I wake up teach me to hear your heart beat for this world
I lay awake looking at the ceiling, but I know I am secure in your arms

Chorus:
I am listening for your voice
I am searching for your heart
I am crying tears of joy on your shoulder
I am blessed you call me your child

Verse 1:
Can a heart be so big that it fits around the world
Can a love be so real that has captured me while upon the cross
Can blood so red flow from my savior’s hands to wash me as white as snow
You have shown me so much and you let me take a part in what you’re doing

Verse 2:
As I lay here looking up into your eyes I can feel your peace
Your gentle arms tell me that you will never let me go
When I feel your warmth I just shut my mouth and listen
As I rest my eyes and hear your voice whispering I love you

Look into my eyes

Pre chorus:
As I looked around my heart had been searching
To fill this emptiness that I had felt for so long
As I lay broken I know I am unworthy but you accepted my sacrifice
Not because it was so much but because you chose to love me

Chorus:
You’re telling me to look into your eyes as you gently hold me
Looking into your eyes I am overwhelmed with love and compassion
As I find my worth in you, I can see a whole new glimpse of you
I didn’t think such a thing could exist but as I look into your eyes you hear my cries

Verse 1:
I am so thankful that my God would let me eat with Him
Experience the emotions that my Lord has gone through
To place within me the love and the joy you have for me
As my Father I feel your hand gently touch my face

Verse 2:
Cannot believe what you did for me to set me free
But I am forever grateful for what you did on Calvary
Even when my life doesn’t reflect it you gently bring me back
Unto your side because I am your child
