As I look to the heavens, my vision clouded by the tears in my eyes
I was crying out for something, someone to hold my shaky hands
I have seen so much pain, and I am familiar with hurt
But you have spoken healing over me my love

On the cross, while on calvary thinking of me and bidding me to come be with you
I didn’t want to take the first step because I was trembling
But you have my tears in a bottle, and my sorrows recorded in a book
A book I had written full of hurt and pains, but when you read it you see healing and blessings.

You know how this heart of mine is broken
You know why this life that I live is inclined to turn back and sin
You felt all my pain on the cross, and you carried my shattered life
Piece it back together, together in your book, and read it back to me.

Tears in a bottle forever stained and penned in your book of life
I may see the book as a life of hurts and pain, but in the end it will bring me hope
I wrote the words with my tears, and I gave you my deepest hurts
Skeletons in my closest, you brought into the light and taught me to learn to trust.

Psalms 56:8
You keep track of all my sorrows.[a]
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
