Who I am is who you created me to be
but so many times I care what others see
I don’t really care what the world thinks
Because I know who I am to you,
I love my father and won’t trade it for anything
Who I am doesn’t change what I am to you
I want to be different, to be a difference maker
Then I ask you to help me take a stand
I didn’t want to stay silent
As I sing to you a different song
I know that I am your’s but do I act like you are mine
I try so hard to show a face of love
while hurting on the inside
With everything I do, I want to breathe life
Even though I offered you three nails,
you offered me your life, and you rewarded me with salvation
Calvary spoke volumes to me, because I see who I am to you
Who I am doesn’t change the fact of what I think I am
Who I am to you doesn’t falter with the decisions that I make
You would still love me, for who I am because you are my creator.
