I know I asked you into my heart, but I am ready to let you have my heart
Everything inside, that I’ve tried to hide for so long is finally comin’ out
The open is where healing can take place all you need to do is let me in

I know there are reasons my child for the walls that you create
To protect yourself from getting hurt but hiding from me is not the answer

There are times when I wanna see but I can’t
Because I’ve put other things before you between you and I
Wanted to grab a hold of you but I pushed your hand away
You gently waited and held me even though I didn’t want you to

You told me you loved me even when I tried to pretend I didn’t hear you
You held my heart when I didn’t know what was going on
You touched my life in a way that I could never imagine
You picked up the pieces and put them together just the way you planned
