So many times I forget the meaning of the cross
To gather the sheep that were once considered lost
I mess up every day, and a lot of times I tend to shy away
From your open arms outstretched to embrace me
You tell me to come to the cross,
I stand in awe of your sacrifice for me
When will I decide to come back
You’ll still be waiting longing for me to come back home
I saw an image on Calvary’s tree on that night
I saw my heart being made new
I saw my heart being ransomed
I felt my heart had been set free
I tried to see the meaning
I tried so hard to live this life on my own
I tried to say I didn’t need you
You welcomed me into your arms outstretched
At the cross I find peace
At the cross I find healing
At the cross I offer you my life
At the cross your blood has washed me clean
At the cross you called me your child
At the cross you called me clean
At the cross you called me home
At the cross you called me son
