• Image of the invisible

Jesus I just want to thank you for giving us an image
So hard to grasp how we can see the invisible
How we can begin to unlock the mysterious
How we can begin to understand the impossible

By the Holy Spirit we can grow intimate with you
Through knowing you we can know the Father
teach me new ways of thinking
New ways of praising, seeing you

As I pursue your heart help me break for the lost
Because I know you want to reach them
So I am asking you to send Jesus to their doorstep
I need you to search my heart and take out everything that is not of you

Because the way I live may be the only taste of you they have
May my life be a crystal clear reflection of who you are
For I am your child I long to resemble you in every area of my life
So that I may bring you all of me

Thank you for anointing me with your love
May I show others your fragrance
May I be still for long enough for you to whisper
Amidst the confusion; amidst the commotion

  • Heaven

    Pre Chorus:
I have so many questions about what heaven will be like
So many answers lay with in your word and I long to catch a glimpse
Heaven is my eternal place and I rest in the fact you know everything about it
Are there really streets paved with gold and will I able to walk on them

    Chorus:
Will I see my king and fall face down to worship Him
Heaven is not like this earth at all I want to know what paradise is like
I long to worship Him in all his righteousness, to see Him in all his greatness
I want to pray and talk to Him and hear His name glorified

    Verse 1:
Will I be able to ask a question like why did Jesus love a sinner like me
And why did He choose me and give me the privilege to know Him and praise him
Heaven is so mysterious and yet so many times people have the wrong view
I am asking to make my mind renewed about the Heaven you describe to me

    Verse 2:
Will I stand up and sing or will I fall before the lamb
To meet with the one I gave my life to the one the great I AM
I cannot imagine what it will be like because I have lived with sin all my life
In heaven will it be like Eden or will it be better than the garden

  • Crashing

Written after my hard drive crashed

    Pre Chorus:
Can I feel the waves of life
My emotions are flooding my mind I feel small and at times crushed
No taller than a pop can on the road

    Chorus:
I know it is when my life crashes
Those are the times I come running
I see you through the pain
You have lifted me from the ashes

    Verse 1:
My life becomes cluttered with worldly things
I feel like everything was lost
Then I realize all I have is you to sustain me
When I am crashing you are my life

    Verse 2:
I have everything when I let go of myself
I give you my all please reprogram my priorities
Line them up with your plan and will for my life
Remove everything within me that doesn’t bring you honor

  • Childlike

Prechorus: As a child has faith to move mountains
    Believing there is something greater
There must be something bigger than themselves
I have let the misperceptions, and the misinterpretations, get in the way

Chorus: Child like faith is what I long for,
Child like faith is what I want,
how I remember the times, when nothing else mattered
Accepting people for who they are, without passing on judgement to them
Accepting no for an answer, and being satisfied with life

Verse 1: Teach me Lord to ask questions, when I don’t know the answer
An opinion that withstands the cliche’s of this world
Without being afraid of what other people will think of me
The faith that lies behind this calloused heart of mine

Verse 2: The child like tendencies, that once were inside me have seemed to disappear
The questions I am afraid to ask, that children would ask because they don’t know the answer
The answers that you give me, should be ok with me, even if I don’t understand the reason
Questions that I have searching for the answers, finding the deeper treasures buried in your word

  • Life

    Bridge:
Life here on Earth is short no one can be sure of tomorrow
Eternal life starts with asking Christ into your heart
Life is something beautiful to be shared with other people
Living for the joy set before me I choose to live for you

    Chorus:
Give me life teach me your ways
I long to have life Oh Lord
Guide me, walk me through this life
Life is just a dot on Earth

    Verse 1:
    You offer me everlasting life
May I forever live with you
    Eternal life is starting now
The moment I give my heart Lord

    Verse 2:
Help me live like there is no tomorrow
Help me never forget your mercy
Open my eyes that I may see your face
I long to live life to the fullest

    Verse 3:
I give you my deepest fears
Help me see through all my tears
When I need someone to hear
You hold me You give me life

    Verse 4:
True life is defined by love
Life you’ve given me is real
    Help me look and feel
As I trust you for your seal

  • Know

    Jeremiah 29:11
    Psalm 138:7-8

Lord you know everything there is to know about me open up my eyes so I can see you as you really are.

Chorus: O Lord you know when I wake up and when I fall asleep. You knew me Your eyes saw my unformed body, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Lord before a word is on my tongue, you know it completely. I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, when I was woven together in the depths of the Earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body.

Verse 1: All the days ordained for me were written down in your book before one of them came to be. For I know the Lord will fufill his purpose for me, “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope

    Chorus:

Verse 2: Though I walk in the midst of trouble you preserve my life; You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.

  • Meet me

When our hearts are pure we can come and meet with you. It is when I feel deserted when you want to meet with me.

    Chorus:
I am crying out to you and you are constantly longing to meet me where I’m at, no matter what the need may be. You are calling to meet me when the road gets cloudy you will guide me and meet me on the other side, for your arms are open wide. For my sins is why you died and you love me so much that you did it just for me.

    Verse 1:
You meet me when I need a comforter, You seek me when I seem unloveable. You find me when I feel most lost, You get a hold of me when no one else can just look at Daniel and the lions den. You wake me up with tragedies, when I feel most distant you bring me to my knees. When I feel no one cares and no one ever talks to me, I know you are the only one who can seem to get through to me. You are my strength when I feel weak, You alone I long to seek.

Verse 2: When I feel sick and I want everything to freeze, it is then I feel you healing me from every known disease. You know me and want to meet with me, please show yourself to others so that they can be free. When I am at the bottom of the valley, trusting you with all my strength is always key. When I wander from your path of truth, you bring me back without knocking out my tooth. The Bible is your way of communicating to us on Earth, when we pray to you remind us just how much we’re worth.

  • Let us not grow weary

Let us not grow weary and lose heart as we run the race marked out before us. Let us run the race with perseverance and the sin that so easily entangles.

Chorus: Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus the author and perfector of our faith who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning it’s shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

    Verse 1:
Let us consider him who endured such opposition from sinful man so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

    Chorus:

    Verse 2:
God disciplines those he loves he loans and he disciplines us for our own good that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

    Chorus:
Endure hardships as discipline; God is treating you like sons. Do not lose heart when he rebukes you and punishes everyone he accepts as sons.
