Laying in my room looking at the ceiling
Laying here wondering if I will ever be able to go anywhere again
This time of waiting has got me thinking, that we may need to step back and look at our past
This time of waiting can lead us to the cross, or it can place in constant confusion
Laying here looking forward to the day when others and I can play
Laying here looking forward to the day when we can be together
Laying here looking forward to the day when quarentine is lifted
Laying here looking forward to the day when we can see God’s plan
It’s hard waiting for things that seem so far away
It’s harder still waiting for things that aren’t so clear
It’s difficult to imagine a world without social distancing
It’s hard to imagine the people who have perished because of this disease
Trying to pick up my heart and bring it to the table
Trying to piece back the pieces of this broken life I lead
Knowing that the answer is lying at the foot of the cross
Knowing that I have to lay my desires down, and exchange them for yours Lord
