I thought the experiences I had would last forever
In a way I guess they have because I can’t get rid of the times we had
I thought you said you wouldn’t leave me
I thought you said you would be there for me
I thought you said you would be my shoulder to cry on
I thought you said that you would be by my side
I guess life happened and you and I drifted apart
I guess life happened and you were nowhere to be found
I guess life’s tears I cried for you, were made for someone else
I guess life doesn’t always turn out the way we planned
It’s okay though because I have started a new journey without you
