Written as a conversation between God and me.
As you look into my eyes do you see my tears
My child, look into my hands do you see my scars
God do you see me when I try to hide
My child, it was for you that I died
God do you see my hurt and do you try to dig up all my dirt
My child, I have washed you in my blood and you’re dirty
God do you hear me when I am crying into my pillow
My son, I feel your hurt and I hold your tomorrows
God why do allow things to happen that are so hurtful
My child, I made you and I will be truthful
God do you see my heart, when I am trying to hide it
My child, I am holding you forever and always
God do you care that I am lonely
My child, I will never leave you
God do you see my pain
My child, I hurt along side you
God do you forget that you made me
My child I made you, I have called you beautiful
God do you see me when I can’t seem to get things right
My child, I make the the darkness bright
My Jesus, do you have to remember to wake me up in the morning
My child, just remember I gave you every breath
