Do you ever overthink
a situation running around in your head
People who don’t have this problem never seem to understand
they sometimes will laugh at you
Trying to put the pieces of my life together
Placing pieces where I think it they should go
Can I ever make it make sense
When I try I am sleepy, I get more confused
The things that didn’t go exactly how you planned
The timing was off, and so you missed your appointment
The weather was rainy, made you wonder if it would turn sunny
The storms roll in, and sometimes it makes a mess of things
I’m over it the overthinking needs to stop
But I know it’s a pipe dream, and I just got to do my best
To try to put my mind to rest
Let things ride, and not be so uptight
