You can’t see

Naked Ava Max

I’ve tried to hide for long enough/I’m running out of excuses/peel back the layers of protection/my heart is getting stronger/when circumstances always aren’t ideal/but I know I am stronger/because the world tries to break me/my will to rise above is stronger/

You don’t know me/you haven’t seen my life fully exposed/if people choose to judge/that’s their choice to make/I can’t be responsible for them/but I try to be honest/being vulnerable is hard/but the best relationships/are built on trust and honesty/

Honestly I don’t really care/how I fare after/because my conscience will be clear/and my friends will be near/when I try to hide/I feel like a part of mine is dying/because no one is better off/even with secrets that you tried to keep/maybe this will be the night I finally sleep/

You can’t see what my life is like/you could listen or you could judge/you can always minimize/but the window remains open/even if you don’t fully close it/I’ve got so many tabs open/in my mind/the ones I choose to use/others I just ignore and never close/
