In the corner

IN THE CORNER TENTH AVENUE NORTH 5 10 2010

She comes into the room and stands in the corner
Longing; wanting; hoping to be noticed
Wonderin’ if anyone would notice if she disappeared from the party scene
Darkness seemed to invade the very depths of her soul

There is hope; for you girl; there is life in feeling broken
Shattered heart and all; come as you are; come lay your heart at the cross
Light awaits you at the end of this tunnel; God will give you the strength you need
There is life for you; but you need to let your’s go; give it to Jesus; let Him have it

In the corner, where the walls come together; no need to feel trapped;
You feel like the war inside you is tearin’ your heart apart
You feel like there must be more to life than tears and suffering
You feel like the weight on your shoulders will crush you

The corner of your life you don’t want others to see
The corner of your life you don’t want to clean
The corner of your soul where you know you’ve got cobwebs
The corner of your life that has you enclosed within the lies that trap you

There is hope of being rescued
There is hope of watching the corners of your self-inflicted cage come crashing down
A place that was once dark; filled with light; a place of hurt; now a place of healing
A place that was hidden from others; a place that has been redeemed by his blood

Inspired by Tenth Avenue North’s Song “Who you are” off the Album ‘Light meets the Dark’
