I don’t understand what is going on all the time; as I watch the news at night
Thinking to myself what would I do if I was in charge would my life look different
I realize that to a dark and hopeless world you bring hope
I get so discouraged with the things that seem so big
I get too overwhelmed to want know the truth
I get so upset that I will mess up and run away
I don’t want to come to you when I feel so far away because I feel so ashamed
I don’t want to spend time getting to know you because I feel so distant
I don’t know what the truth is sometimes because I’ve been given lies by the world
