We have been set free from sin…but seem to be falling in…
We have been tricked…by the things this world offers…
We don’t seem to care…as long as we won’t get caught…
God’s economy doesn’t work like that…the price was paid in full…
On the cross…you taught me how to live…
You conquered death…by rising up again…
We no longer are slaves to sin…we will rise with you again…
We are to live in the world…not of this world…
A trial here and we stumble…it’s dark and the road is bumpy…
We tend to fall back into the abyss…that you have bought us from…
Live for today pay tomorrow…all this is forced into our minds…
We can live for you…because our old self is dead…
As we begin a new journey, we find our selves having to make a decision. Will I surrender myself to the cross,
each and every day.
Romans 6:5-6
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a
resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might
be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
