I am heartbroken, by the effect that sin has but our country wants to turn the other way
and pretend its ok
I know that this is not the way it was supposed to turn out from the beginning, but has
because of sin
So many people hurting, not knowing where to turn and try to find comfort
The country that was founded on Biblical principles, now has drifted away, a paradigm shift
The laws of the land can change, but it doesn’t change your love
We have become too tall in our own eyes, asking for you to shrink us down and wake us up
On our knees, is where you want us, but we are building up our towers
Sometimes we try on our own to buy righteousness, but it is that mentality that got me where we are
Come quickly Lord, Jesus take the pain away
Come quickly Lord, and right the wrong
Come soon Lord, and show us what your original plan for this world was before the fall
We need you now more than ever, and I’m asking you to make yourself known to everyone
