A little while ago, I couldn’t think about writing because I was upset
Thank the Lord for a song in my heart to try to sing to Him
I know it isn’t much, but it’s my heart and that’s what you want from me
A tune to sing in the midst of the struggles
A tune to sing to bring me back to you
A tune to sing to tell others the story of my salvation
A tune to sing to tell the world about the journey you have brought me on so far
A tune to hum when it seems like my world is crumbling around me
A tune to sing when my life is hard
A tune to sing when my life gets hectic
A tune to write when I feel like staying silent
A tune to sing back to you as I start remembering how you have made me
I know things aren’t exactly how I thought they’d be
I know things aren’t always seem on the outside
I know things aren’t ever perfect, but I will learn to trust that you are good to me
I know things aren’t the way you originally planned, because of sin
