I try to understand the pain you have endured
I come up short every time I try to make sense of it
I try to say the things that I think would bring you comfort
I come up gasping for air, because I feel the world is holding us under
There is a savior who understands even when we can’t
There is a savior who comprehends even when we don’t
There is a savior who loves you, even when you feel the world doesn’t
There is a savior who is there always and forever, and will never let you down
Tried to understand your story, but I will be there to listen
Try to understand the way that our savior loves us
Your heart can be loved back together, and you will be stronger
Your heart is tender, but I want to remind you of our greatest hope
I thought no one could ever understand
I thought I was all alone with no one to relate
I want to remind you, that there is hope on the horizon
I want to help you remember, that our God is faithful always
