There was so many times we went to bed angry

You only soared so high, and I don’t know if you got scared
You always seemed to have a sarcastic smirk when I told you how I felt
There was a time when I thought I loved you
There was a time when I thought you loved me too
That time has come and gone, now I’m better off without you dragging me down
That time has past, because my feelings for you are gone
I will soar high above, and live my life free
I will never see the ceiling that made you feel safe
I will never expect you to understand because you were incapable
I will never be sympathetic to the past of how you made me feel
