The weather’s getting colder
The days are getting shorter
We don’t realize what who we’re missing until they’re no longer here
We tend to get busy living day to day
Watching the news, brings tears to my eyes; makes me miss my loved ones more
Brings reality to the saying; hold your loved ones a little closer tonight; forever
We aren’t promised tomorrow or even the promise of today
So many times I think we take this life for granted
I’ll try again tomorrow; and tomorrow things will be better
I’ll start that project later; then we find excuses to put it off a little longer
I’ve been trying my best; but tomorrow it will be different
I’ve been thinking; the time to tell your loved ones to hold you closer is now
