Sometimes this life gets hectic/sometimes I just want to take a step back and relax/to allow myself the space to process/the events the day has brought/and remind me that’s okay/when I don’t feel like I can continue/another second longer/
You gently ask me/if I want to rest/I sometimes try to ignore it/because I say I’m too busy/trying to meet a quota/that I have placed on myself/the people that matter most/I tend to hurt the most/the friends that are closest/the ones that I tend to push away/
My heart is tired/my soul is weary/crying out for truth/the thirst so great/knowing there is only one cure/and that is found in my Savior/when the desert/has left me scorched/you prepared the way/even when I can’t see when/when the way the is hidden/
