I sometimes try to guard my heart, because I’m afraid of being hurt
What if someone tries to judge me, for my past mistakes
That says more about who they are, than it does about me
Life is a trip, but we’re on this journey together
Life is a trip, are you ready for the mysterious twists and turns
Life is can be a complicated mess, detours that try to derail your dreams
Life is messy, but also it can be a beautiful disaster
Life can be sad, but that doesn’t mean I have to be all the time
Life isn’t always easy, but at least I packed a bag
Sometimes the emotional baggage of the past, isn’t needed anymore
To climb the mountain, to reach the top of the things we’re trying to accomplish
We have the scars to prove, we’ve been through what we have
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but some people need the reminder
I could try to explain everything at once, but ain’t no one got the time
I could say that I have it all figured out, but that would be a lie
I want to hold someone’s heart, when they’re feeling like listening to music
