Written at a time when I was struggling with playing the cards I was dealt in life.
All my struggles, the obstacles in my life, the mountains, the valley’s I have come across
In the moment, I wish I never had encountered them because they were full of pain
Looking back, I am thankful for each valley and each obstacle because I am stronger for it
It’s hard to say, that I would do it all again but that’s the power of my Jesus leading me
I would be in a different place, had I been able to skip the trials and fast forward
A journey of a thousand steps, starts with us just making one at a time
A journey of a thousand miles, starts with us choosing to begin
A journey of a thousand years, starts with us choosing to start
God holds my hand in the hardest times
God holds my heart when I feel defeated
God holds my tomorrows, even in the midst of my sorrow
God holds me when I am scared to take another step
I would trade everything hard in my life for the beauty of being carried
I would give everything to find my joy in Christ again
I would give everything to share God’s love with people
I would surrender everything this world has to offer, if it meant I found my Jesus
