Lot’s of times we get stuck in a rut/we need something to change/we need something out of the norm/we live this life so many times/days at a time/not seconds and minutes/trying to understand what comes next/when we seem to lost our way/
A fresh start/is what I am giving myself/because with it comes no expectations/no perceived notions of what could have been/we don’t look behind/because we are marching ahead/lots of times we will miss what is happening/because we were looking at what has happened/
A fresh start/you and me/a fresh start babe/what do you say/a fresh start with a portal to the future/we have each other/what more could we need/I didn’t know what a fresh start held/because the slate is clean/we can write our own narrative/we can do what makes us happy/
I’ll do my best/to give myself a fresh start/but sometimes the past creeps in/and I know we won’t dwell on it/but it has made us stronger/how we were before/is not as fierce as who we will become/when we are team mates in this life/it will be a wild ride/
